Resuming entries and getting ready for a website renovation to reflect my principles
For now, I want to bring to your attention a matter Andy Pepper, Esq. recently brought to my attention. Andy is a board member of the United States Selective Service and he has been reaching out to high school students in Hawaii to make certain they understand they can lose certain federal benefits for life if they fail to register. Other problems include denial of a driver's license in Hawaii and most other states, jail time, and a whopping fine of up to $250,000. The selective service has a non-prosecution policy, so jail time and fines are very unlikely, but the other penalties are potentially harsh enough.
Just do it!
